Our mission is to provide support, resources, and opportunities to moms and children facing poverty in Vancouver (hopefully more places in the future!). We believe that every mom deserves a chance to succeed, and we are dedicated to helping them thrive.
Through our programs and initiatives, we aim to create a community where moms can find the support they need, connect with other moms facing similar challenges, and access the resources necessary for their family's well-being. Hello! I’m Janice, the founder and CEO of 4 the moms society! I am dedicated to empowering single mothers in poverty, and am deeply connected to the mission we champion every day. My personal journey deeply resonates with our mission. After my parents divorced, my father was granted full custody of my brother and I because my mother was burdened by financial constraints and could not afford to care for us. Therefore, my brother and I would rarely see my mother as she was working full-time. This pivotal moment in my life opened my eyes to the struggles faced by single mothers who, despite their best efforts, find themselves without options. Inspired by my own family's challenges, I am committed to helping single mothers navigate and overcome the obstacles of poverty, providing them with the support and resources they need to thrive.
